A handcrafted wooden magnet inspired by the tribal tipi, featuring Lapis Lazuli and Obsidian—a symbol of home, belonging, and protection.
Wooden Magnet Tribal Tipi
The story
For many Indigenous tribes, the tipi was much more than a shelter. It was the heart of daily life—a place where families gathered, stories were shared, traditions were preserved, and ceremonies were held. It symbolized belonging, protection, and the comfort of having a place to return to.
The central triangular symbol can also be seen as a pyramid, an ancient symbol of stability, strength, and growth. Both interpretations share the same meaning: creating a solid foundation from which we can move forward and always find our way home.
Meaning
The Tipi / Pyramid
Represents home, stability, belonging, and protection.
The Central Arrow
Symbolizes purpose, choice, and moving forward with confidence.
Lapis Lazuli
A stone associated with wisdom, truth, and authentic self-expression. For thousands of years it has been valued as a symbol of inner knowledge and clear vision.
Obsidian
A protective stone connected with grounding, inner strength, and releasing what no longer serves.
Handcrafted
This magnet is handcrafted on a natural wood slice cut from the trees in my own garden. I hand-paint the symbol and combine it with natural stones, giving every piece its own unique character.
Because every wood slice is naturally different, no two magnets are ever exactly alike. Each one is a one-of-a-kind creation shaped by nature and handcrafted with care.
